I Heart Faces - Beautiful Black & White

Well, it's been a while since I've done one of these photo challenges, but I just couldn't pass up this week's I Heart Faces theme of "Beautiful Black &White."  I'm posting this picture of Gus pushing his wagon of pumpkins not only because it's one of my favorite pictures ever, but because Gus has asked me to go to "Special Friend Day" at his school with him on Thursday and I'm so excited!  I can't even tell you how honored I am.  I'm probably going to cry through the whole thing, hug and kiss him in front of all his friends and thoroughly embarrass the poor kid.  I must hold it together.  Wish me luck.

I Heart Faces - Pet Week

It's Pet Week over at I Heart Faces!  I know you've all seen this photo on here before, but I just couldn't help but post it again.  Here's our baby Sage when she was super teeny tiny, had puppy breath and super sharp teeth.  Now she just smells like rawhide and wet dog all the time. :)  But we still love her.

Make sure to head over to I Heart Faces and check out all the other entries.

I Heart Faces - From A Distance

This week's theme over at I Heart Faces is "From a Distance," which focuses on photos that were taken at more of a distance.  For this week, a face does not have to be clearly showing in the entry, but a person must be visible in the photo somewhere.  Since we just got back from a week at the beach, I thought this photo would be perfect for the theme.  This is Mally on the beach watching Ryan cast his fly rod out in the ocean.  We both love watching him cast, he's so graceful and rhythmic.  10 and 2, 10 and 2.  Ryan fly-fishing really is a beautiful thing to watch.

I Heart Faces: Motherhood

This week's theme over at I Heart Faces is Motherhood.  I really hope that one day I can be a mother.  Until that day, I get to learn how to be an amazing mother from watching my friends become moms.  My friend Claire is an inspiration to me.  She's not only an incredible friend, but she's an amazing mom to Gus and CeCe.  She's loving, humble, forgiving, understanding, patient, funny and all the things a mother should be.  She handles motherhood with grace and ease and (most importantly), a sense of humor.  She was born to be a mom.  (She's going to kill for me saying all of this and deny every word, but she really is amazing.)  I've been so blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with her children and her family and I couldn't think of a better picture of motherhood than this one.  It's one of my favorites.

I Heart Faces: Soft & Sweet

This week's theme at I Heart Faces is "Soft & Sweet."

I think this picture is the perfect combination of soft and sweet (Mally's soft and Eva's sweet).
Although, Mally's pretty sweet as well.  However, Eva's not that soft (she's pretty boney).

About 5 seconds after this picture was taken, Mally ate Eva's ice cream cone right out of her hand.
Not so sweet...

I Heart Faces: Pets

Have you all heard of this website called I Heart Faces?  It's a photography website that hosts weekly themed-photo contests.  I've been following their blog for a while and love the idea (and really love all the awsome pictures they feature).  I've been very tempted to enter on previous challenges, but never thought my pictures were good enough.  However, this week's theme is "Pets" -- and I just so happen to have the cutest puppy on the face of the Earth, so, of course I feel like I have to enter!  So without any further ado (and it was so hard to pick a favorite picture), here she is in all her jumping happy glory...Sage.

This picture just makes me so happy. :)

Head on over to I Heart Faces to see all the other animal and pet entries there!
