5 on Friday - Volume 8

ONE.  I think I have a hot chocolate addiction.  I had two giant containers of chocolate milk leftover from our PJ party last weekend that needs to be consumed before it goes bad, so I've taken it upon myself to drink giant steaming mugs of cocoa every night.  Drowning in mini marshmallows, of course.  Sometimes with peppermint bark or chocolate covered marshmallows (thank you Jamie!) or paired with a sugar cookie.  I may need a hot chocolate intervention.  If I can get through the next 2 weeks without gaining 75 pounds, I'll call that a win.

TWO.  Mac counted to two today all by himself with no prompting.  He's a fucking genius.

THREE.  I love love love all the Christmas cards we've been getting.  LOVE.  Every day I can't wait to go get the mail and see all the beautiful photos of my friends and family and all their gorgeous kids and amazing pets.  Our cards will probably not be ready until February, but they are coming, I promise!  In the meantime, please keep sending them!  You make my day!

FOUR.  My friend (and fellow STL blogger) Lindsay just did the most amazing gender reveal photo session ever.  Go check out her blog to see the gorgeous photos and find out what she's having!  These photos and just so wonderful and really capture how excited they are about this baby and grateful they are.  She struggled to get pregnant too and I just love seeing her story have such a happy outcome.  Melt my heart.

FIVE.  Are you all as into those awful (and by awful, I really mean wonderful) holiday movies on the Hallmark Channel as much as I am?  They are so bad, yet I love them SO much.  Most of the time I feel like I could write a better script in my sleep; however, I continue to watch and love them year after year.  So imagine my surprise (and sheer joy) when one of my friends announced that her husband would be starring in one this year.  I know!  Finding Christmas debuts this Sunday, December 15 at 8/7C on the Hallmark Channel.  From what I can tell, it's a twist on that movie The Holiday (which I love), that involves swapping houses for the Christmas season.  I'm sure it will be terribly wonderful, as expected.  JT's a country singer, so of course they wrote in a song for him to sing in the movie (and it's actually good).  Tune in or set your DVR.

  11. Love that card-holder wreath - now I know what to do with my abundance of clothespins! I also get addicted to things like hot cocoa and hot tea. I'll want them daily, and then one day, it'll just be like a switch is flipped and I can't stand drinking them anymore. Cocoa is the best during cold weather!

You know somebody that is married to somebody that is on tv? ohmygosh you are like semi-half-famous. How fun!!

Oh and hot cocoa doesn't actually make you gain weight during the month of December. It's physics. So you are good to go, consume away =)
