Wood You Be Mine?

Good morning, friends!  I'm so excited to share my latest fall fashion obsession with you today that I just couldn't wait until tomorrow.  It's officially fall around here, according to both the calendar and Mother Nature. The leaves are turning, the temperature's dropping and I've already broken out my boots and scarves. This fall, the trends really seem to be classics like plaids, vests and layers, chunky sweaters, leather jackets, fringe, pops of metallics, neutrals, over-sized scarves and cute booties. I'm still working on procuring the perfect brown leather booties, but in the meantime I'm thrilled to get my sweaters and flannel plaid back out.  I'll also be sporting this awesome (and totally GORGEOUS) wooden watch this season.  I mean, have you ever seen a more perfect watch for fall?
When Jord reached out to me about reviewing a watch, I have to admit that I almost said no.  Yes, the watches are stunning and yes I wanted one, but I'm in absolutely no way, shape or form a fashion blogger.  I thought maybe they'd made a mistake by contacting me.
Turns out, Jord Wood Watches is a home-grown St. Louis company and y'all know how much I love my city and promoting local goods.  So, of course, I had to say yes and I'm proud to be sporting such a great local product.  #shopsmall #shoplocal #shopstl
I chose the Cora watch, made of Koa wood with the rose gold face.  It's stunning.  It's really rich, warm and beautiful.  It goes with everything and I get compliments on it all the time.  The face has Swarovski crystal markers and sapphire crystal glass.  The wood on the band is a warm deep color and sturdy, but very light and comfortable to wear.
It's battery-free and automatic self-winding.  I love that it has a sneak-peek window in the front and a clear back plate where you can see the mechanics of the watch.  The nerd in me loves that.  And the engraving is cool...it even brags about being made in St. Louis.
I love that it's so versatile and can be dressed up or down. I wore it last weekend to my brother's wedding with my heels, pearls and fancy dress. And then I wore it this weekend with jeans and a sweater. There are all different kinds of wood available in a variety of shades with colored or plain metallic, wood or pearl faces. Available for both men and women. Wouldn't a big gorgeous wood watch be perfect for Father's Day or your hubby's birthday? The ebony and copper one for men is amazing. Christmas is coming up!   (wink wink)
Love love love!
What are you crushing on this fall?

  3. It is gorgeous! I've never heard of this company, before but they have some gorgeous watches. Do you find it to be lighter than a metal watch? I feel my watch is so light to begin with.
