We're Back!!

We're back!  Happy new year to everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful, healthy and safe holiday season.  Belize was AMAZING!  We stayed on Ambergris Caye and our little island was jam packed with amazing restaurants, beautiful resorts and spectacular ocean views.  You had to take a boat, bike or golf cart everywhere as there are no roads. While I prefered boat rides, Ryan managed to get me on a bike twice! Shocking, I know! Both times in the rain even.  And although I didn't completely wreck, I did manage to end up riding into the ocean on occasion.  We definitely kept ourselves busy. We snorkled a few times, petted sharks, chased stingrays, hiked the Mayan ruins, fed tarpon, explored towns, fished (a lot!), cave tubed, kayaked, and found time in between to get a bit of reading done (I only read 4 books) poolside at the resort.  Ryan caught quite a few bonefish and officially moved on to the ever elusive permit.  While fishing, we caught spiny lobsters and broiled them for dinner...needless to say they were amazing!  As was all the food in Belize, which is a mix of Thai, French and Mexican (and all seafood) - so basically it was culinary heaven!  Today at work I can't button my pants...I think that's the sign of a great vacation.

Things are super crazy hectic right now - we have a lot of work to catch up on, tons of laundry to do, an entire house to clean, animals that are desperate for our attention and a birthday party to prepare for this weekend!  So, it may take me a couple days to get honeymoon pictures up and ready, but here are a couple that I just couldn't resist sharing with you right away!  Just a sneak peak.

  4. It sounds and looks amazing!! The food sounds delish--I judge my vacation places based on food. And beaches. That's really all I need in life.
