Mac & Alex - Holiday Photos

Over Thanksgiving while my niece Alexandra was in town and we got the kids together for a little holiday photo shoot.  We got them matching jammies, taped some twinkle lights to a wall and threw them on the bed together.  Viola - instant photo studio.  Simple as pie.  Well, except for the part about actually taking a picture of two uncooperative busy babies where they're both smiling and/or even looking at the camera.  Out of about 200 pictures, there's probably 2 good ones.  Mac loves the camera, so he hammed it up.  However, he could barely sit up on his own at that time, so we either had to lean him against something or prop him up and prayed he didn't fall over.  Plus, he REALLY wanted the lights in his mouth and wouldn't stop going after them.  Alexandra, who is almost 2, was NOT having any of it.  She'd freak out every time Ryan was in the room or the baby got close to her.  She was fine on her own, but not thrilled about having the share the spotlight with the "other" baby.  There are so many pictures of one of them cooperating and the other not.  Or they're moving and the picture is out of focus (my fault).  Or someone is sucking a thumb.  Or someone's nearly falling off the bed.  But honestly, the outtakes are the BEST.  I just adore the attitude and the way they turned out.  We used the photos to make a book for Ryan's parents as a surprise Christmas gift.  It was a HUGE hit.  So without further ado, here are the photos.

  2. LOVE LOVE LOVE the photos!! They are soo cute! I love your little man and all his expressions, reminds my of my own little guy. I love his hair - weird question, did you give him a haircut? Or does it grow in that perfectly straight in the front? Just curious since our little man has crazy hair already. :-)
